Industry: Pharmaceuticals

Job Type: Test Lab Retrofit

Overview: Danco Electrical Contractors, Inc upgraded the building UPS equipment which included disconnecting and removing the existing UPS system, installing a new 300KVA UPS and Battery Cabinets, then connecting all new equipment loads and testing the system.

Challenges: This project was extremely challenging relative to phasing as exemplified by:

  • Phase I – Complete prep work (normal hours)
  • Phase II – Friday 6pm disconnect & remove old equipment
  • Phase III – Saturday 6am Install new 300KVA UPS & Battery Cabinet
  • Phase IV – Saturday 6pm Connect old and new UPS loads
  • Phase V – Sunday 6pm Energize Test and Load Bank Equipment
  • Phase VI – Sunday 9pm return building to normal
